Watford Football Club and North Herts College are looking for talented footballers, currently in years 11 or 12, to join its successful football Academy for the 2015/2016 season.

The scheme offers players the opportunity to represent North Herts College Football Academy in partnership with Watford Football Club into the British Colleges Leagues.

This programme offers late developing players the opportunity to further their skills and potentially have a route into Academy of North Herts College and Watford Football Club.

The North Herts College and the Watford Football Club want all players entering the Academy to develop both their physical and academic skills and knowledge.

Next fixtures of the young players of  North Herts College/Watford Football Club are played against the likes of Chelsea football club, Tottenham football club, Fulham, Birmingham City and other important clubs.

Manager required at QPR 

QPR Football Club is looking for an "Early Years Manager" reporting to the Football Development Manager.

The role of "Early Years Manager" will engage with toddlers in deprived London wards instilling a sporting habit in their early years and teaching them healthy messages through workshops.

Targeted at 3-5 year olds, we wish to instil the importance of physical activity and health at an early age and provide a pathway of progression into sport.

Key Responsibilities:
- Encourage enthusiasm and participation in sport and knowledge of the benefits of a healthy lifestyle particular longer term health.
- Liaise with a number of partners across a range of schools, sports clubs, community groups, NHS and service providers from the public and private sector.
- Organise, prepare and deliver early year’s sports sessions and health workshops.
- To lead on steering group meetings for the project and complete all necessary monitoring and evaluation.
- To manage a part time role that would support in the delivery of this project

The type of experience we are looking for:
- This role would suit someone with a background in physical activity promotion.
- Previous experience of working with children between the ages of 3 and 5 years.
- Effective working experience with local partners in the community.
- Ability to plan and develop an effective coaching program plan
- Experience in safeguarding children.
- Along with the relevant experience the post holder must possess excellent communication, organisational and administrative skills.

Special monetary award from UEFA

Special monetary award from UEFA

Special monetary award from UEFA to celebrate its 60th birthday.

UEFA is launching a special edition of the UEFA Research Grant Programme to support projects developed its member associations.

UEFA is looking to encourage the cooperation between the national associations and the academic community.

With this special award UEFA hopes to help get research projects about football to use further in their own activities and projects.

Research proposals in the following fields may be submitted for consideration by the UEFA Research Grant Jury:
• Economics
• History
• Law
• Management
• Political science
• Sociology
• Medical sciences

For this special edition, UEFA will award up to six grants of up to €15,000 each, for a period of nine months of research.

The deadline is March 31, 2015.

Livorno Fc tryouts


The place of trials will be on at local stadium of Elba Isle, near the city of Livorno (Northern-Italy)

The tryouts will be organized with the cooperation of Asd Progetto Giovani Academy.

The tryouts will take place under the eyes of the scouts of Livorno Fc - Youth Department.

The tryouts are reserved to footballers born on 2001-2002, italian category called "Giovanissimi"

The tryouts are gratis (free-entry - no money to pay)
